Jim Edmiston - Art

At last, the chance to paint!  After several other incarnations, I'm ready to paint, to know what I want to paint, and, importantly, how I want to paint it.

 

Doorways, places once inhabited, places just left, arrangements put together in an effort to create some order out of randomness and chaos.  These interest me.  Most importantly, how can anyone not be influenced by the climate crisis that hangs over us?

 

My approach to painting is the same: a constant struggle to stop myself from being in total control.  The only way I can do it is, ironically, to be in control of the random input as well.
